Hedge funds keen to attract family office investment

Family offices with substantial assets can often be an attractive investor market for hedge funds. Dealing with these family offices, however, can be very different from coping with the typical institutional investor. Sara Utecht and Jamie Wynn-Williams look behind the scenes to discover how hedge funds are marketing their funds to family offices.

Family offices are increasingly looking at hedge funds as well as funds of hedge funds as a suitable investment. Since the money invested is the wealth of the family, there is bound to be keen interest in how the fund performs, as well as how the money is actually invested.
