Ex-Merrill Lynch team sets up a Mako market neutral fund

four-strong mako team aims to deliver 10%-15% returns

Mako Investment Managers is to launch a quantitative equity market neutral fund on 1 April with two ex-Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (MMLM) experts forming half of the fund's four-strong team.

Jonathan Century and Andrew Warwick joined Mako Investment Managers, part of the Mako group, from MLIM's Global Equity Flows Fund Advantage in December, after MLIM closed the fund in September. At MLIM they ran just under $100m in the fund. MLIM said at the time of closing the fund that it did not fit
