Credit Suisse names Abbasi as new Asia chief executive

Hans-Ulrich Doerig, chairman of Credit Suisse, said the appointment will further strengthen the bank's management team in the Asia Pacific, a key growth region for the Swiss banking group.

Credit Suisse has appointed Osama Abbasi to take over as chief executive of the Asia-Pacific region from Kai Nargolwala, who will become the bank's chairman of Asia Pacific, a newly created role. Both appointments will be effective on October 1.
