Eulia chief risk officer to run Prmia’s new Paris chapter

Christian Jimenez, chief risk officer for Eulia, the European Financial Alliance formed in 2002 by the Caisse des Dépôts Group and Caisse d'Epargne Group, will head the Professional Risk Managers’ International Association’s (Prmia) first Paris chapter.

Jimenez was previously chief investment officer at Caisse Nationale des Caisses d'Epargne et de Prévoyance, chief executive of Surassur, deputy chief financial officer at Caisse d'Epargne Group and has held positions with BNP and Banque de France. He has a PhD in economics and was an economics professor at Paris University between 1979 and 1984.

Eulia owns CDC Ixis among other financial services businesses. Jimenez was elected chairman by Prmia’s Paris steering committee, whose members include: Joël Bessis, head of risk analytics in the risk department of CDC Ixis; Didier Marteau, a professor and director of financial markets research at l’Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris; Pierre-Yves Maurois, a consultant at Ernst & Young; and, Adel Torjmen, product line manager for risk systems provider Ubitrade’s capital markets division.

Prmia will host its inaugural European Summit in Paris on April 7, the day prior to Risk magazine’s eighth annual Risk Europe conference on April 8 and April 9 at the same venue.
