Deutsche Post World Net integrates treasury operations, reduces risk

Deutsche Post World Net, the Bonn-based pan-European logistics provider, has implemented Trema Finance Kit, in a bid to reduce risk and increase operational efficiency. The move is part of an effort to centralise its treasury operations, and the new software will also support Deutsche Post World Net’s global expansion plans.

Swedish-French software company Trema’s Finance Kit will replace a number of predominantly spreadsheet-based systems at Deutsche Post. The company is also implementing Trema's web solutions, Trema Transaction Hub and Finance eKit products. These extend straight-through-processing (STP) beyond the central treasury, to both banks' online dealing platforms and global subsidiaries of Deutsche Post.

The implementations through front, middle and back offices should result in STP at Deutsche Post World Net's treasury for the first time.

Centralising treasury should also result in greater control, helping Deutsche Post World Net to meet the demands of IAS39 and other financial regulations.
