Michael Eichler

Michael Eichler graduated with a PhD in mathematics from the University of Heidelberg in 1999. After continuing as a research assistant in Heidelberg and two years as visiting assistant professor at the University of Chicago, he joined the Department of Quantitative Economics at Maastricht University in 2006. He was appointed Associate Professor of Econometrics in 2009.

Oliver Grothe

Oliver Grothe is Privatdozent at the Department of Economic and Social Statistics at the University of Cologne. His research interests include computational statistics, methods of quantitative risk management, energy markets, stochastic processes and dependence structures. Oliver Grothe holds a PhD in Economic and Social Science, a University Diploma in Physics, and a University Diplom in Business Administration.

Hans Manner

Hans Manner studied econometrics at Maastricht University from 2001 until 2005. In 2006 he started his PhD in the department of quantitative economics at Maastricht University, which he finished in April 2010. In 2008 he spent four months as a visiting researcher at the institute of statistics at the Université catholique de Louvain in Louvain-La-Neuve, Belgium. Since 2010 he is assistant professor of econometrics at the University of Cologne. His research interests include modelling dependence with copulas, testing for structural breaks, stochastic frontier models, and dynamic discrete choice models.

Dennis Tuerk

Dennis Tuerk studied Economics at Justus-Liebig University Giessen. From 2009 till 2013 he was a PhD student at the Department of Quantitative Economics at Maastricht University. Since 2014 he works as an Intraday Trader/Analyst at Wind Energy Trading WET AG. His research interests include power markets, robust statistics, dynamic discrete choice models, non-linear processes and algorithmic trading.

Christian-Oliver Ewald

Professor Christian Ewald holds the Chair for Financial Economics at the Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow. He is also the director of the Centre for Economic and Financial Studies (CEFS) which is part of the Adam Smith Business School and covers research and postgraduate teaching at the juncture of the fields of Economics and Finance. Professor Ewald is further affiliated with the Centre for Dynamic Macro Economics Analysis at the University of St. Andrews, the Boyd Orr Centre for Population and Ecosystem Health at the University of Glasgow and the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Sydney. Professor Ewald's main research fields are Quantitative Finance, Macroeconomics and Financial Markets Linkages, as well as Resource Economics and Linkages to Commodity Markets. He has published more than 40 research articles in leading international journals on these topics and has held several high profile research grants over the last couple of years.
