Eaton named head of RBS risk financing and repackaging

Royal Bank of Scotland has appointed Scott Eaton as head of risk management and repackaging in its capital markets business.

Eaton, who will be based in London, joins the company from Deutsche Bank where he was co-head of Winchester Capital Principal Finance in New York.

Eaton reports to Vincent Dahinden, global head of structured credit and equity products. He will be in charge of developing the company’s risk financing and repackaging business.

“Structured products are a key growth business for capital markets and hires of Scott’s calibre are key to taking our franchise to the next level,” Dahinden said.

Eaton joined Deutsche Bank in 2000, where he was head of repackaging across a broad range of credit products. He has also worked for Dresdner Kleinwort Benson as head of asset backed securities and credit structuring.
