FSA reviews Retail practices

LONDON - The UK Financial Services Authority (FSA) has published its much-anticipated Retail Distribution Review (RDR), which aims to reform the practices of independent financial advisers (IFAs) and sales advisers. The regulator set out to create a distinction between the functions of selling and providing advice, and to improve the quality of advice given to consumers. However, the RDR has run into opposition in both these areas.
