Bear Stearns expands senior team

Bear Stearns has expanded its senior team with four internal promotions.

Bruce Lisman and Steven Meyer become co-heads of global equities, in charge of all the firm’s cash equities, structured equities and clearing activities. Previously, Lisman headed global cash equities and Meyer headed the structured equities business.

Wendy de Monchaux, previously head of derivatives, now heads the Principal Strategies Group. This new group combines a number of proprietary trading activities throughout the firm into a single unit. De Monchaux, Lisman and Meyer all report to the bank’s president, Warren Spector.

Additionally, Peter Cherasia’s role as chief information officer has been expanded. He now heads operations and technology for the firm, and will report to vice-president Samuel Molinaro. All four remain in New York.
