Banks need to be more open to collaborating with regulators on new modelling techniques for operational risk, HSBC and Santander said at the OpRisk Europe conference in London on June 11.
Andrew Sheen, head of the operational risk use test at HSBC and a former bank supervisor, agreed with Santander's head of operational risk methodology, Peter Mitic, who suggested regulators might be able to learn
