The Structured Products IFA Survey 2012

Investors were once in the dark about the names of the institutions that issued structured products. But now, in the kind of progress hoped for by regulators, anyone in the UK buying these products will know who the counterparty is, according to the latest annual Structured Products survey of independent financial advisers. Equities will return to prominence this year, according to UK independent financial advisers (IFAs). Responding to the fourth annual Structured Products IFA Survey, 78% of advisers say equities will be the most favoured asset class for structured products underlyings in 2012, a considerable rise on the 55% who chose the asset class last year.
