Woori Bank's $1 billion lower 2 two deal is notable for a host of reasons. If being the largest Korean bank capital offering ever was not enough, the deal also represents the largest single-tranche North Asian bank capital offering ever, the largest Asia ex-Japan subordinated debt offering since 2003 and also the first liquid Korean benchmark outside of the sovereign/quasi-sovereign space.
