Unwittingly, Aspect Capital's Richard Clarke must make some traditional hedge fund managers nervous. Because, according to him, good returns (of more than 15%) can be made trading equities using science.

At Aspect Capital, where he runs the $25m European Equity Fund, Clarke uses sophisticated computer programs to tell him when to buy and sell stocks.
