
Industry aims to Fix patchy exchange outage comms
A Fix working group is hoping to standardise the way that venues communicate with the sell side when tech glitches strike

The body that runs the Fix messaging protocol has formed a working group to design a common framework for reporting outages in venues such as exchanges. The group aims to design a standard set of messages to enable venues to update their clients on the status of a market in the event of an outage, with the work set for completion by the end of this year.
