Tighter regulation is on the way

There has been a raft of new regulatory proposals out this week, from the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision’s recommendations for making the banking system more resilient to amendments to the Capital Requirements Directive. It seems not a day goes by without the Federal Reserve, the Financial Services Authority or the Commission coming out with a new speech or statements on the state of the industry and what can be done to solve the current crisis. None have come up with a solid answer yet
