LME Clear ‘welcomes scrutiny’ of CCP risk management

Oversight from clearing members is good for central counterparties, says LME Clear CEO

The City of London has long blended archaic tradition with cutting-edge financial innovation. The London Metal Exchange (LME), where more than three-quarters of the world's nonferrous metal futures are traded, epitomises this duality. While it traces its history back to the sixteenth century, the exchange recently moved into gleaming new premises with a state-of-the-art trading floor. It also boasts a new clearing house, LME Clear, with a contemporary approach to risk management.
