Alan Howard and his team of star traders have generated formidable returns against a backdrop of low market volatility, and have managed to do so with a lower volatility profile than their peers. Return on capital in the Brevan Howard fund is expected to be 15% for 2004, with only two losing months and total assets under management in the period growing from $5 billion to $7 billion.
