About the course

In this comprehensive course, you will explore the critical aspects of managing ESG and climate risks and their implications for long-term financial sustainability within the context of South African financial institutions. Dive deep into key reporting standards, such as the JSE and the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), to understand their practical implications.

Our program takes a practical approach to help you seamlessly integrate climate risks with other financial risks and business-as-usual reporting, addressing the unique challenges faced by institutions of different sizes. Gain valuable insights into the effective management of transition risks, including how to source, process and trust data.

We’ll also delve into climate stress-testing, emphasising forward-looking scenarios and drawing lessons from the Bank of England’s 2021 climate stress test.
The course concludes with strategies for a climate-friendly and ESG-compliant future, considering common challenges and underlining our social responsibility.
