French regulator bears down on unlicensed brokers

The Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) is pursuing at least 200 illegal investment websites offering unlicensed access to speculative financial products such as contracts-for-difference (CFDs), the French regulator's asset management chief has told Risk.net.

"We have a blacklist of at least 200 French-language websites that are very actively marketing CFDs, options and foreign exchange that are not regulated and have no licence to do so. This is a big concern and a danger to retail investors
