The National Bank of Canada has picked up the Structured Products award for Canada House of the year, relying on its Bespoke Platform, while improving its adviser training and getting near to doubling its volume of product sales

A formidable new platform that allows investors and advisers to choose their own protection barrier and execute sales quickly has helped put National Bank of Canada (NBC) at the forefront of the Canadian structured products market.

The NBC Bespoke Notes platform was launched in 2010, but came into its own last year when the bank stepped up its adviser training initiatives and increased its year-on-year sales of structured products by 75%. In total, the bank issued 21 principal-protected notes
