Better disclosure requirements could allow investors to perform tests

European Supervisory Authorities seek to empower investors

The European supervisors making up the Joint Committee have proposed numerous enhancements to the disclosure of information on securitisations, including the potential to empower investors to conduct their own stress tests.

The European Banking Authority (EBA), European Securities and Markets Authority (Esma) and European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (Eiopa) published the report on May 12 to take stock of existing requirements and suggest improvements.
