Top-level reshuffle at Maybank

Kuala Lumpur-based Maybank is making changes to its senior management team. The current chief risk officer, Ariffin Morad, will in December become Basel II project director to drive the implementation of the Basel II capital accord for credit risk, market risk and operational risk. Jacob Abraham will take over as CRO, having served as head of market risk management at Maybank since 1999.

Aminuddin Desa has already taken over the chief executive position at the group's insurance arm, Maybank
