UK Government actuary hire

Trevor Llanwarne has been named as the new Government Actuary for HM Treasury, starting in the spring of 2008 on a five year contract. Llanwarne will oversee the Government Actuary Department (GAD) and its 100 staff where he will be responsible for the department's advice provided to both government and public sector organisations. During his 20-year tenure at PricewaterhouseCoopers Llanwarne most recently held the position as the firm's chief actuary for pensions.
