Barclays Bank's UK pension fund appoints chief investment officer

Barclays Bank's £18 billion UK pension fund has appointed Tony Broccardo to the newly created post as chief investment officer (CIO), as the fund seeks to ramp-up its investment performance and scheme governance. Prior to joining the pension fund, Broccardo was group CIO at F&C Asset Management, and CIO of the Institutional and Overseas Investment Division at Invesco Asset Management.
