Singapore sees another certificate listed on exchange

Barclays Capital is about to list its fourth physically settled discount certificate in Singapore after successfully introducing the structure to the country in December 2010. The products are listed call spread warrants on single shares and allow investors to earn a potential fixed yield with the possibility of receiving the underlying shares if the closing price of the shares on the valuation date is lower than the cap strike - a structure similar to the traditional reverse convertible.
