Sanwa Upgrades Credit Risk System To Offer Real-Time Position Checking

Sanwa Bank has upgraded its risk management and transaction systems to give its Tokyo-based chief dealers the ability to monitor other centres' trading activity in real time, say bank officials.

Previously, Sanwa's headquarters took nightly downloads of position information from its regional branches, each of which maintained a separate book.

The added centralised operational control supplements an existing global credit risk application at Sanwa.
