Standard Bank takes Adaptiv Credit Risk

Standard Bank has gone live with Adaptiv Credit Risk from SunGard in trading centres in South Africa, UK, Hong Kong, US, Russia, Brazil and Argentina. The system consolidates the bank's global credit risk exposure onto one platform, enabling the bank to improve automation and allocate risk capital more effectively, says SunGard.

As it is run as an ASP (an application service provider, as opposed to installed technology), it is also cost-efficient, says Juerg Hunziker, president of the Adaptiv
