UK Treasury tasked on Lehman structured products response

The UK Treasury was grilled by a shadow minister on July 7 over its inaction on behalf of investors who have lost money on Lehman Brothers-backed structured products, during a Private Members Debate in Westminster Hall.

The motion on the marketing of structured products was tabled on May 7 by Ed Vaizey, the shadow minister for culture, media and sport and Conservative member of parliament (MP) for Wantage. During the debate it emerged the Treasury has said the products backed by the failed bank
