People: TD Bank bags Scotia Capital structuring team

Move follows series of structured products hires at Canadian banks

Toronto-Dominion Bank in New York has hired a structured products team from Scotia Capital, according to sources in the city. The movers include: Tim Andrews, managing director and head of the Scotiabank notes desk; Chris Obalde, a director and head structurer, and also desk lawyer for the US notes desk; Mark Quaglia, a director and over-the-counter equity derivatives specialist; and Alexander Nino and Joe Hemmes. It is understood Andrews will report to Todd Hargarten, a managing director at TD
