Structured product sales in Dubai are thriving

Some offshore distributors of structured products are scared for their industry. Not as a result of disappointing sales volumes - on the contrary, the booming market in Dubai alone is worth an estimated £2.5 billion - but because they say relatively relaxed regulation has resulted in a freewheeling atmosphere that has led to some poorly constructed products and sales practices appearing in Dubai and the wider United Arab Emirates (UAE) markets.
