The precipice bond scandal, poorly performing products, weak marketing campaigns and insipid offerings - usually wrapped as tried-and-tested guaranteed equity bonds (GEBs) - meant the market was never going to win many fans. The tables may be turning, however. Following five years of decline, the UK retail market is finally in the ascendance, with a raft of innovative new products transforming the land of GEBs
