Stuart E. Weiner is a Visiting Professor of Economics at Dartmouth College and a Consultant with the Santa Fe Group. He is the former Vice President and Director of Payments System Research at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City.
Mr Weiner is the author of numerous books and articles on payments, banking, and monetary policy issues. His recent work has focused on implementation of the Dodd-Frank Act, interchange pricing in credit and debit card markets, nonbank participation in the payments industry, and the role of central banks in payment systems.
Mr Weiner has served as a technical expert for the International Monetary Fund. He received his B.A. in economics and mathematics from Cornell University and his Ph.D. in economics from Northwestern University
