Version 8 of the Cadis EDM data management platform has a new user interface that only shows the information a user wants to see, with ‘slice and dice' analysis and a full audit trail. It also minimises configuration effort, the company says. Cadis EDM includes front- to back-office integration, a security master that provides validated data, a price and rate server master, indexes and benchmark management, and support for data governance and compliance. Meanwhile, Cadis Hub is a hosted version of the EDM platform that will manage data and automate data-related processes for an organisation.

Codean CLO Analytics is a software-as-a-service application that monitors and values collateralised loan obligations at deal level, providing cashflow projections and other detailed analytics. Given the detail of tranches and assumptions, the company says it can provide monthly or quarterly mark-to-model valuations with detailed risk and cashflow information. Enhancements planned for the first half of 2012 include market value over collateralisations, Libor floors and Monte Carlo analysis.
Conducter provides a package covering governance, compliance, risk register, internal audit, process and controls, documentation, roles and responsibilities, and key indicator reporting. The web-hosted system is ‘wizard-based'. As well as the package offering, the modules can be purchased for custom adaptation. The system includes a ‘kernel controller' for the change management of an internal model, although Conducter does not provide the calculation kernels themselves. Conducter's technology uses Java with a zero footprint browser.
The Advise asset and liability risk management software and Gems economic-scenario generators now include tools for recalibrating parameters to produce simulation output that matches user-specified criteria. They also have expanded derivatives and Solvency II capabilities. In early 2012, Conning plans to release its internal investment optimisation software as a product called Efficient Frontier Investment Analysis, which will enable users to evaluate the potential risks and rewards of different asset allocations in the context of their liability risk profile. The product will work within Advise or in conjunction with Gems and other liability risk modelling software.
The company offers standard software modules for insurance and pensions business. These components are release-ready, highly parameterised and support multi-language, multi-currency and multi-client capabilities for international business. The modular portfolio includes functions for product management, new business, portfolio administration, claims and benefits handling, as well as commission management, partner administration and collections and disbursements. COR&FJA's Insurance Suite is a complete set of modules that can be used together for a start-up business or separately according to the customer's needs. For large insurance companies, COR&FJA provides the policy administration system COR.FJA Life Factory that can be adapted to the process demands of the customer.
To its GraphTalk A.I.A policy administration system, CSC has added improved automation and flexibility in group risk business lines and a new tool to simplify configuration of marketing product variations. The VP/MS product life cycle management solution is now offered with pre-configured product content and a new web user interface generator including support for mobile devices. The reinsurance solution, SICS, has been enhanced to provide better support to syndicate business in the London Market. SICS Cede, the company's product for outbound reinsurance, has been enhanced to enable greater flexibility and automation. CSC has also launched a solution for pension auto-enrolment to enable UK insurers to comply with new regulations.
The firm has added a web-browser toolbar to its Questionnaire Hub due diligence automation platform to enable ‘one click' auto-fill for any online website, research database or consultant form. The company has also upgraded the initial diagnostics and extract, transform and load modules of its CDi master data management tool, which is based on the CreditDimensions reference data platform, to support common data-feed formats from major providers of credit risk and rating information. Meanwhile, the eBusinessware data service bureau offers data enrichment, maintenance and process and quality reviews.
Version 7.2 of the EnCompass Energy Suite, planned for release in January 2012, will include additional option capabilities, such as direct support for physical options (monthly, daily and hourly) and option pricing on physical transactions, the company says. Management of source data has also been improved to more seamlessly support changes to base data, such as holiday schedules, fuel and loss tariffs and settled price changes, and to update the underlying transactions. For commodity curve generation, the system will support complex foreign exchange rules for both underlying and index curves where currency dependencies exist.
The company launched the Sceneco economic-scenario generator in July, which produces real-world and risk-neutral economic scenarios covering equities, risk-free yield curves, corporate yields, macroeconomic variables, bond indexes, real estate indexes, multiple currencies and bespoke variables. EMTech also updated its Risk# risk modelling platform to include clustering of data from several units of measures, threshold selection, trend analysis, external data analysis, and additional copula types for risk aggregation. Reporting functionality now links computational results to reports, allowing the dynamic updating of reports. Users can also specify both flat and hierarchical dependency structures.
