Fatca delay blamed on push for IGA

Foreign financial institutions (FFIs) are becoming increasingly frustrated with the US Treasury after the most recent delay in the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (Fatca), one expert has warned. The delay, announced last Friday, means FFIs now have a six-month extension for their withholding and account due diligence requirements that were supposed to start on January 1, 2014.
