Metro Bank appoints chief risk officer

Metro Bank has appointed Aileen Gillan as chief risk officer, replacing Mike Hudson in the role.

Gillan joined Metro Bank in 2013 and takes over the role with immediate effect. She will report to Craig Donaldson, chief executive of the bank.

Before joining Metro Bank, Gillan was the chief risk officer for asset finance at Lloyd's Banking Group. Prior to that, she held risk management and compliance roles across a range of businesses in financial institutions. She began her career as a barrister
