Industry supports risk-adjusted bonuses for risk managers, according to Risk.net poll

Industry participants have come out strongly in favour of a separate bonus system for risk managers in an online poll conducted by Risk.net in May. Sixty-five per cent of respondents backed a risk-adjusted bonus scheme for risk managers, separate from that used for the traders they supervise.

Nineteen per cent thought risk managers and traders should be subject to the same, target-based bonus structure as traders, while 16% felt risk managers should be paid a flat salary only.
