Hong Kong looks set to tighten warrant regulation

Hong Kong's Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) released a report on November 25 setting out proposals to tighten regulation of warrant issues. The proposals (open for consultation until the end of January 2006) suggest stringent minimum service levels for liquidity providers, compelling issuers to appoint internally and requesting that they disclose certain information relating to the intra-day prices of derivative warrants.

In addition, the SFC also proposed that the time frame for listing
