Citadel chief operating officer for global fixed income, Rich Mazzella, is to leave at the end of February.

A spokesperson for Citadel says the parting was amicable and expressed the fund's best wishes to Mazzella for the future.

New York-based Mazzella has been with the Chicago fund for seven years, joining during the height of the financial crisis in October 2008 from JP Morgan, where he had served as chief technology officer in the global fixed-income business.
