Basel trading book review delayed

A long-awaited fundamental review of the Basel trading book rules is set to be delayed until early next year and may not begin in earnest until March, according to sources close to the matter.

The review is expected to assess and check regulatory capital charges for bank trading books, including those arising from a package of measures known as Basel 2.5, which will be implemented from the end of this year.
