Too much expected of central banks: CentralBanking.com poll

Central banks are not omnipotent, and cannot boost growth in the economy while also managing price levels, over 66% of the respondents to a CentralBanking.com poll have said.

The poll, which went live at 16:52 in London on 5 July, attracted 59 voters, of whom 66.1% thought central banks risked losing their credibility if they attempted to boost growth, as well as managing price stability, their key mandate.
