Jerry del Missier and Grant Kvalheim have been named co-presidents of Barclays Capital amid wider organisational changes at the UK bank. Both will report to Robert Diamond, president of Barclays.
Prior to his appointment to co-president, del Missier headed Barclays Capital’s rates and equity business, while Kvalheim headed investment banking. Thomas Kalaris has been appointed chief executive of Barclays Wealth Management, reporting to Diamond. Previously, Kalaris was a member of Barclays Capital’s executive committee, and head of distribution and research.Roger Jenkins, head of structured capital markets at Barclays Capital, will continue to report to Diamond, as will Rich Ricci, chief operating officer across Diamond’s investment banking and investment management businesses and Robert Morrice, chief executive of Asia-Pacific.
Blake Grossman will become Barclays Global Advisors’ sole chief executive, a role he used to share with Andrew Skirton. Skirton has left to pursue other interests. Grossman will continue to report to Diamond.
