GNI selects SunGard’s Panorama

London-based GNI Fund Management has signed up to use SunGard Trading and Risk Systems' real-time risk management product, Panorama, for its portfolio management and risk reporting activities. GNI Fund Management, which has $529 million under management, is a subsidiary of South Africa-based Old Mutual Financial Services.

GNI Fund Management will use Panorama to monitor and report risk, positions and profit and loss activity across all funds and asset classes.

Panorama will also provide GNI Fund Management with the risk analytics it needs to manage its portfolio of complex products, including value-at-risk, scenario analysis and stress testing, and desk-level risk checks for incremental risk measures. The company also said it will use Panorama to provide enhanced reporting to its investors.
