Freddie Mac opts for OpVar

Quasi-government US mortgage agency, Freddie Mac, has chosen Fitch Risk’s OpVar software suite to manage its operational risk.

Freddie Mac will use OpVar for operational risk data collection, analysis and reporting. “Freddie Mac is committed to world class risk management to ensure that we continue to serve America’s families for generations to come,” said Cindy Gertz, senior-vice president of operational risk management, Freddie Mac. “Utilising robust operational risk tools, such as OpVar, will help us to achieve this goal,” she added.

Fitch Risk provides risk technologies and risk advisory services. OpVantage is its operational risk arm. It is an affiliate of Fitch Ratings and a subsidiary of Paris-based Fimalac.
