BNP Paribas reinforces structured products team in Germany

BNP Paribas has made two new appointments to its German structured product team and one to its bond team in Frankfurt.

Ralph Heinig joined the bank from Toronto Dominion, where he worked marketing derivatives and structured products, while Marc Steiner was recruited through the French bank's graduate programme. Both will report to Geoffroy Wibault, head of structured products and derivatives for Germany and Austria.

Meanwhile, BNP Paribas hired Menko Jaekel to work in its debt capital markets financial institutions group for Germany and Austria yesterday, where he will be responsible for originating Pfandbriefe and other domestic German debt instruments. He was previously a director of debt capital markets for Citigroup in Frankfurt and now reports to the joint heads of BNP Paribas' European debt capital market financial institutions group, Razi Amin and Anthony Fane.
