Deutsche appoints head of index strategy group

Deutsche Bank has appointed John Butler as managing director and head of the index strategy group within global rates, effective immediately. He will report to Bhupinder Singh, head of structured rates products, Europe and Asia and be based in London.

In his new role, Butler will focus primarily on the development of new fixed-income index strategies and products for both institutional and retail clients. Butler most recently worked at Lehman Brothers, where he was a managing director and head of European rates strategy. Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, Butler spent five years at Dresdner Kleinwort as chief debt strategist.
