ABN Amro names swaps expert King as Taiwan country rep

ABN Amro Taiwan has made Terry King its country representative, in addition to his existing role as head of financial markets of ABN Amro Taiwan, a position he has held since 2001.

King joined ABN Amro following the Dutch bank's acquisition of Continental Bank in 1988, where he was head of treasury and corporate finance.

During his time with ABN Amro's Taiwan treasury, the bank became the largest market maker of the new Taiwan dollar swap market and a major player in the local foreign exchange and money markets, the bank said.

He is also head the Dutch bank's training and development division of its Taiwan foreign exchange development committee, and acts as a major source of reference for governmental officials and the Taiwan Central Bank.

He will report to Robert Douch, ABN Amro's global head of distribution.
