Barcap nabs Citigroup equity derivatives salesman

Barclays Capital, the investment banking division of Barclays Bank, has appointed Andrew Stonely from Citigroup as a director in equity derivatives sales. He will be responsible for developing the European equity derivatives flow business.

Stonely spent seven years with Citi, where he was most recently head of UK and Scandinavian equity derivatives sales. Prior to this he worked at UBS, where he was a director selling UK-listed equity derivatives.

“We are building a flow business to complement our existing equity derivatives group, collateralised finance group and hedge fund sales,” said Alasdair Hodge, managing director at Barcap in London, and the person Stonely will report to. “Andrew’s knowledge of the equity derivatives markets will be beneficial to growing this business.”
