RBC Capital Markets appoints research heads

RBC Capital Markets has hired Russell Jones as head of fixed income and currencies global research.

He previously worked at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, where he served as senior economist. At RBC, he will be based in London and report to Bill Moriarty, head of global research, and chief economist Craig Wright. As part of his brief he takes up the erstwhile role of Monica Fan, the bank’s former global head of foreign exchange strategy, who has recently left the bank.

Additionally, Adam Cole has been promoted to head of foreign exchange strategy research, based in London. Cole, who was formerly senior currency strategist focused on the G10, will now report to Jones.
