Deutsche makes Tokyo appointment

Deutsche Securities, a subsidiary of Deutsche Bank, has promoted Henry Ritchotte to head of global markets, Japan.

Ritchotte, who was formerly deputy head of global markets in Tokyo, started his new job on August 17. He reports to John Macfarlane, Deutsche Securities branch manager in Tokyo, and Anshu Jain, head of global markets in London.

Ritchotte replaces Eiji Nakai, who had been in the position since 2000. Nakai is still “technically” employed by the company, but will be leaving “eventually”, a Deutsche Securities spokesperson in Tokyo told Risk News. She declined to provide further details.

Deutsche Securities aims to “aggressively grow” its global market franchise under Ritchotte’s leadership by focusing on Japanese financial institutions’ investment and risk management needs, said Macfarlane.
