Imagine Software snares another Asia fund

Sandringham Capital, a Sydney-based long/short fund that uses derivatives, will use software provided by New York vendor Imagine Software for its portfolio and risk management requirements.

The Australian hedge fund – the sixth fund in the Asia-Pacific region to sign up Imagine Software this year – will use the software company’s application-service provider (ASP) interface called Derivatives.com for its equity derivatives trading and risk management.

“Imagine’s robustness provides us with comfort that our diverse range of investments can be appropriately risk managed,” says Sandringham Capital’s managing director, Steuart Roe, a former head of risk management at Citigroup Australia and head of equity risk management products at UBS Australia. “Our clients agree, with our use of Imagine being instrumental in winning mandates.”
